    DVDLab (not the pro version)
I added a PNG image to my menu but I can't get it to be invisble normal and then become visible when active. I used the blue ball from DVD-Lab's buttons list.

I can get it to be "invisible-normal" easily but the image won't re-appear on mouse-over. I can make the colour map show a colour overlay in the shape of the PNG image when active(mouse-over) but not the actual image itself.
I tried setting the active colour map to transperant but then nothing showed at all

    Suggestions ?
    Thanks

  2. Mouseover is an HTML trick, nothing to do with DVD.
You need to use switched menus to get what you want.

Bingo. What are getting is correct within the DVD spec. Follow Reboot's suggestion of switched menus if you want something more sophisticated.

    Thanks guys.
I probably shouldn't have used the term mouse-over in my previous post.

What I'm trying to get is one of the PNG button items in DVD-lab to scroll thru a list of menu items as the DVD remote UP/DOWN buttons are used, rather than just use the colour map overlays.

Will this still require switched menus ?
Is this the process for that ,
Create a menu with the first option marked ,
Create a 2nd identical menu but move the marker to the 2nd menu option ,
repeat this process for each option on the menu.

Seems I'm going back to the days when I made pseudo-menus on SVCD's using multiple images of the same menu still.
My planned menu has 15 or more options so may have to go for a conventional DVD menu.

    Thanks very much.
    Cheers

  5. Switched menus is what you need. Go to www.mediachance.com or check the help festure and there is a tutorial on switched menus and how to use the switched menu wizard.

Is there much of a time delay as it switches between menus compared to using a single menu using the conventional colour map ?

  7. This mostly depends on your player. Some switch very quickly, others have a significant delay.
I also have a tutorial on switched menus, link below.

I used the "Generate Switched Menus" and made the extra menus with the slight differences but when I hit the Play button in DVDlab the Auto Action function doesn't work. Even the 4 way DVD remote doesn't make it switch. It simply moves the active colour down to the next menu option.
Does the AutoAction only work when the DVD is physically played on a real player ?
I'm at work and can't burn a test disk here.

    Thanks

  12. Just play it in a good software player to test.
DVDLab's preview can't show you all the options.
