Error advice ... thanks

Hi

First off this software comes highly recommended by friends so I donated and installed error free but hit a snag and route to my first conversion.

I am not sure but I renamed the files I want to convert so they got no Hyphen in them but I get this message.

Any advice greatly appreciated .... AJ

Hi,

You were nearly there! The hypen in the path : "1 CATB VCD-SVCD" is causing the problem. Can you rename the folder or move the files to another folder without a hyphen... Or use v2

The previous posts in this thread have me confused.

I have been using hyphens [ minus sign characters] in lots of my filenames and in parent folder names forever with RC2, RC5 under XP Home,

without any problem.

If hyphens are not allowed, I blissfully missed that rule.

An explanation of any "no-hyphen-rule" vis-a-vis my experience would be most welcome.

hyphens are no problem in v2.x
They are sometimes an issue in v1.52....

From the error log OP is talking about the latter:
