  3. I demux the audio to .wav in VirtualdubMod, then Convert it to .ac3 in ffmpeggui. Encode the .avi in Canopus ProCoder to Mpeg2. Then Author the .m2v and .ac3 in a dvd authoring program like DVDAuthorGui. Then burn in Nero.

I concur with Reboots list of other ways. I have used The Film Machine, D.I.K.O., and VSO DIVXtoDVD which are all free! They are very easy to use and guides are available. I have been satisfied with the results but if you are very critical then you should use multiple programs (TMPGENC, DVDAuthor, etc.) to get your results. The ones I use do all of the steps in one program.

  9. alright the quick, quick version!!!!

get a hold of tmpeg, install & run, it should auto start a wizard, select the dvd you want (pal/ntsc- read the descriptions!!! too) & select the vid, you know the story click next a few times & it will start encoding. done!!!

you now got a dvd mpeg video file...

get a hold of TDA (tempeg dvd auth), open that & create a dvd & menu. bunr using its bunner..

if your drive don't support TDAs burner save the files to disk & burn a 'video dvd' with the software that came with the drive!!!!

note you might want a ntsf hhd partion if your mpg's gona be more than 4 gigs.
    COOKIEEE!!!
