Hi there! Nice to be here again. this time I do have a doubt that's killing me. It's about Sony's Vegas Video Editor and Antialiasing (AA)...I've noticed that Vegas doesn't have an antialiasing filter. Some time ago I've downloaded a Veggie file (at sundance......if I'm not mistaken) and this one was all about flying screens comming out from the center of the screen and flying away. I've authored my DVD includding this file but this effect particularly is a bit troubling since anyone can notice that the edges of each screen do need an antialiasing filter. I've tried to reduce interlace flicker and other tricks, but since nothing seemed to work, I was thinking about Photoshop. It has a good antialiasing filter....So here are my doubts...
1. Can I load the animation file in Photoshop or I have to render the whole thing first as, for instance, a Targa sequence.
2. Is this way the best solution for the problem or Vegas itself can fix the problem?
Thanks in advance..........

Some people are only alive because it may be illegal to kill them -
playing around with the convoltion filter or a tiny tiny gaus. blur will help .. and also rendering just this part as progressive ....
so will another trick of rendering it at a higher resolution at 1:1 PAR and then using v-dub to resize it ...
what are you rendering to ?"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
LOL - Oh my, you really you make me laugh fella, so the spider came here too? LOLL Thanks a lot because I really have fun here.
OK, let's get to the subject. First, Thanks so much for responding. I'm rendering in Vegas as DVDA NTSC Videostream, Double Pass, VBR. (Hope you remember that this file comes from a Veggie file that shows small screens comming out of the center and flying aways toward the edges).

ive been out of the country --
to render 1 part as progressive - just break the project down into sections to render ..
to render at a higher resolution - do exactly that , say 1024 x 768 huffyuv , and use virtualdub to resize with the LanczosResize in 2 steps downwards.."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -

Could you please tell me how to break the project down into sections and how to use that Lanczosblob?
What about Photoshop's AA?????? Wouldn't it be much easier?
