subtitiles in vlc

hi have a movie in .ogm format that plays in vlc. i have subtitles for that movie as .srt. how do i use the two together? should i use a different player? if so, which one?

Can't you just tick subtitle options when opening the file and load the external subs?

Could try mplayer, it should probably autoload the subs if named the same. As should dvobsub and other players, although perhaps not for an ogm?
