How to add effects to the video using Adobe Premiere Pro

I want to add some text with effects in the beginning of the video, then
some video effects(any , suggest some) in the middle

can any1 help me, I'm a newbie to this software

For video effects, just drag and drop from the video effects pallette onto the video file in your timeline. You have to be more specific aboutthe text effects, what are you trying to do?

There's a great site: www.wrigleyvideo.com/videotutorial that has info on all things Premiere, After Effects etc. There is a tutorial in the Premiere 6.5 that shows you how to do the Star Wars scrolling text.

In general, I'd say to have a look around most of the tutorials - not only will it show you how to do specific things, it'll also give you an insight on the basics of how Premiere works etc.
