  1. I know he's got other projects, but this poor program has been horribly neglected. I know squat about programming, but say, if Major took this up?
    It'd be ever so cool...
I just have many, many issues which I can't resolve and questions that never get answered, and I'm stuck because I have neither the cash or the computer to go with DVD Studio Pro, and other than a simple menuless DVD via the old version of Sizzle, or the basic ffmpegX one, I can't do much.

  3. iDVD is fine......IF I feel like converting several hundred MPG files into .mov QuickTime's, sure, it'd work real good. Seeing as how I spent a great deal of time converting these various files to a DVD spec, I'm not going to redo them.

Get a copy of CaptyDVD. It does a reasonable job authoring DVDs from existing MPEG files. I've read that LaCie is selling it separately as well as including it with FastCoder or with some of the DVD drives. I have the version that comes with the ADS USB Instant DVD for Mac. It even accepts muxed MPEGs with AC-3 audio.

Where'd you read that? LaCie - CaptyDVD Authoring Software and their online store pages don't list it being sold separately.

Wingsabove in this thread said he called LaCie and purchased it for $75.

Thanks, Frobozz. I figured it was just a matter of calling LaCie and asking to buy it. I'll have to ask wingsabove what he thinks of the software (and hopefully answer the question about its MPEG editing capabilities). Maybe he'll even post a mini-review for us.
