hello everyone, i wanted to ask why i am getting this error when ripping some disks and not others (on DVDShrink, it says a CYCLICAL REDUNDANCY). is there anyway to get around it?

CRC is basically checking the data against some standard. If it is on a HD, then it is usually corruption in the file. On a DVD, could be a dirty DVD. Try cleaning it. Have you tried DVDDecrypter to rip? It seems to be needed on some DVDs that won't rip with Shrink.
