You're question is worded strangely the way I'm reading it you're either asking if the Max FSB speed the processor will use is 333MHz in which case the answer is yes, But if you don't know what a FSB is and you think the CPU clock has to be 333MHz the answer is no. You can use any speed processor you want.

if you are going to be cheap you are way better off going with a good brand name refurb vs a new mobo with a crappy brand.....

333Mhz FSB is fine as long as you are using a CPU that is 333 and memory of that speed.

Semprons will work there, they are 333Mhz FSB speed, though I have OCed them to 400Mhz several times. A Sempron 2200+ runs OK at 400Mhz FSB. Speed goes to 1.9Ghz from 1.5Ghz.

I've always wondered about the term 'refurbished'. What does
    that involve?

To refurb a motherboard..... I suppose replace the onboard battery
    and dust off the board.

Video and pci cards..... dust them off.

Monitors..... I always blow the dust out regularly.

Harddrive..... I don't know if you could do much more
that scan and format. On the outside just dust it off.

Seems like most refurbs would be returns and 'working pulls' that
are just being sold as used equipment.

i think most of the stuff they get back is user error. but they take it and test it and fix whats wrong. which sometimes i'd rather have(depends on what) because brand new out of the box doesnt get that much attention in testing

  10. My monitor was one that was sent back. It's a Sharp 17" TFT - one of their expensive, nice ones. I got it for £160 about 18 months ago - that was a fraction of the cost of a new one. I was just thinking yesterday how I would hate to lose it, and it's not often I say that about part of my PC. Most of the time, I want the next upgrade but this is a quality bit of kit.

Refurbs/used can be outstanding deals compared to new kit of the same price - well worth considering. I like Asus boards.

  11. Yes it will - that motherboard will support all the CPUs ever made for that slot. Good choices, too!

You could probably overclock that XP2500 to XP3200 speeds on that motherboard too.

  12. It's OEM so don't forget to buy a heatsink and fan!

That would bring the price close to a retail CPU that includes
    a fan and sink....

Slightly faster, but I use Intel so I'm not very familiar with the AMDs.
