    xp2800+ and pc3200 corsair value select 2.5 3 3 8

    everything seems to be stable... idles around 46-47C and under load 52-53C so i think i did it right

  2. Looking good! Is this the maximum you can attain?

    If you want to go faster, drop the CAS latency to 3 cycles. Might help. Also, make the RAM 1:1 with the FSB.

    yeah i know i figured that out late last night

    the ram is 1:1 now 180mhz and is running 2 2 3 5


    i might try and OC it a little more. more than anything im worried about heat with the summer month coming up though


    btw you dont think 2.5 cas will fly?

  4. No, raise CAS to 3 if you want to continue. 2 is an extremely tight latency.

    that's just what im at for right now and it's stable. yeah if i go higher i'll bump it up

    2.5 won't work at a little higher speed?


    i was at 2.5 3 3 6 when the ram was running at 225.5 and it was stable

    ok so at lunch break i went and grabbed a couple of fans....80mm 52.8 cfm to replace the one on the heatsink thats running at 34 cfm. and a 120mm 57.48 for the front. and antec has whatever on the back(not sure but it's antec so im not worried)

    so when i get my asus a7n880 on monday i'll install everything and see how far i can push it
