    Hi,

My brother has a Toshiba -RW/RAM dvd recorder (w/o hard disk). He recorded for VCR onto a Verbertim 4X DVD-RW disc and finalized it. His intention was to edit the video clip on PC. Unfortunately, this DVD-RW couldn't be read by the BENQ 1620 Pro.

Any tips or comments ? Thanks in advance.

BenQ is a bad reader. It often barfs on DVD-VR discs (Video or VR mode). I see this complaint all the time. Try another DVD-ROM or burner drive.

Tried on Sony DVD-ROM 1621. Couldn't either. Tried ISO Buster... no luck.

It may just be a bad disc. And are you sure that unit was supposed to write on 4x DVD-RW. Most can only use the 2x RW media.

    lordsmurf,
    Sorry. I got the media wrong. It's Samsung DVD-R 4X. The DVD Recorder won't take Verbatim-RW 4X.
