i have a file that is an HDTV .ts extension, and i've tried several methods to try and burn this bastid to a dvd-player friendly format, with no luck.

the closest i got was using a program called HDTVtoMPEG which created a mpeg2. i then took that mpg into TMPGEnc and multiplexed it however the output received an error, and the audio was way of sync. :/

here's the file info if anyone can help, i'm trying to get this file onto a dvd asap as i have some people to show this file to:

    Video: MPEG-2 Video 1280x720 59.94fps 18500kbps
    Audio: Dolby Digital 48000Hz 448kbps

    anyone have any ideas?
HDTVtoMPEG churns out the mpeg2, which seems fine atm so i'm currently trying to figure out the best method to use to burn the mpeg2 to the vcd/svcd/dvdr formats.

multiplexed the mpg? or do you mean converted to dvd mpg? you must reconvert to dvd format.

You can also try frameserve with dgindex to your favorite dvd encoder, https://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?guideid=759#759
, just convert the video and then author with the ac3 audio.
