    As I have learned with most products in the past couple of years, the dates "they say" will happen never do. Sometimes early, sometimes late.

    The only way you know is when they hit store shelves.

    Yes,that's pretty much my experience also - though not always. Does anyone have the slightest hint as to their release dates?

    According to the on-line manual, the DR-M100S does not appear to record to dual-layer discs yet. It would be nice not to have to change the disc during a 6-hour tape transfer.
