  1. I have an .avi (Matrix reloaded in 2 files) which has very quiet human voices.

It has 5 channel audio, so I guess the center channel is quiet. I have a stereo system.

I have the latest ffdshow installed.

    What can I do?

    Thanks!

Update to a 5.1 audio set up?

Buy the DVD and play thru a DVD player..pref a 5.1 HT set up?

Ensure the pc is using STEREO output and AC3Filter is also set to 2 speaker/STEREO output and then play with the 'chanels' (esp VOICE) from within AC3filter.

If using 5.1 souncard (with stereo spekers) set it up for your speakers.

Stop complaining.....and take 'your' avi back to the shop from which you bought it and ask for a refund.

  3. Thanks, monzie.

I set to stereo output in the ffdshow audio decoder mixer. Works fine now.

OT: The DVDs are very expensive. I buy them sometimes tho. Anyway I see what you are saying and I can't argue, but that's another topic anyway...
