  1. I just started to get into burning and have encountered something i can't figure out.I have a copy of a movie that someone burned and he burn it onto a Maxell CD-R.It won't play in my DVD player and my DVD shrink program Shrink3.2 won't read it either.Is there a way to convert the disc so i can burn it onto a DVD?Thank you and cudos for agreat forum

    Is it a VCD? SVCD? AVI ? Browse the CD and tell us what files you see.

    i see are SVCD,segment,pictures,MPEG2&EXT.Is that any help?The movie is on two discs and i was wondering if i could edit it to put it on one DVD?Thanks again.

    use svcd2dvd or dvd-lab.

  5. Hmm, if your player is no capable of playing SVCDs there is probability it will be not capable to play svcd content on DVD. One option is to reencode to 352xXXX, but it is not good as SVCD is already quite compressed and you should expect some drop in quality. I would suggest to try so called "VCD header trick" - it can or cannot work, but it is worth to try I think, because there is no reencoding, quality of the video remains the same.
