  1. I bought a CH-DVD 300 from Best Buy and presented it to a friend in South Asia (PAL). We have tried to play dvd, vcd.... but none of them worked, it always said "no disk". I have tried changing it to all regions (one after another... including 0, 1, 2...), but in vain. Can someone help me unsolve the puzzle. Am i missing here something.

I have even checked all other "Setup" settings with one of my other friends that have the same piece and everything is the same.

    Thanks,

Then you haven't made it region-free yet. Depending on the version, changing the region may or may not be exactly like in the guides here. I found that my version required me to press slightly different keys from the guide.

Set it to region 0, and it'll be region free once you get it set.

  3. Thanks for the reply, could you please let me know as which keys (&sequence) to be pressed. I really appreciate your help in this matter.

I don't remember offhand. Read my comments in the 300 and/or 320 section. You might have to follow the 320 instructions.
