Even though I wrote the DVD Backup without having 8GB free guide, I just want to know the encoding time difference when using DVDx to frameserve to TMPGEnc and using TMPGEnc just on its own. Is there much of a time difference?
Thanks,

I also wanted to know the encoding time difference between Panasonic MPEG-1 encoder and TMPGEnc.
Thanks! -
panasonic is faster unless you have pent 4 or amd xp series cpu, then tmpenc is faster.

technically, aren't you also framserving through dvd2avi too...even though both proggies aren't running at the same time?

actualy there is no diffrence when frameserveing, the app that is frameserveing is going as the same speed as the encoder it self ...so there no diffrence in speed

pinoy2201, are u referring to frameserving in general...cuz i notice a pretty significant difference when framserving from vdub...
