If anyone is intertested they're on sale this week for $17.99 for 50 - 8x speed. I was surprised to see they got a batch of Made in Japan's in, the last few months all they has were the TDK's made in Taiwan.

  2. I don't know how it is with TDK, but Benq 50 pack 8x DVD-R's are made in Japan whereas the Benq 50 pack DVD+R's are made in Taiwan and they are rated only 4x. You have to be careful of places like Future Shop online because when you buy a 50 spindle of DVD's they will often send you two 25 spindles of Benq Taiwanese DVD's (4x) taped together instead of a single spindle of 50 which is the more expensive 8x Japanense which is what you ordered. So buyer beware.

And try and get Future Shop to honor their DVD rainchecks is a PIA. They never have stock for the DVD-R's that are on sale, so you get a rain check and for the next month, which is how long the raincheck lasts, you play "find the DVD-R's" because they mysteriously run out of the DVD-R's 2 hours after the truck is unloaded. All Future Shop stores in town are like that.

I know what you mean, Brent. With exception of ordering TY from Rima, I usually don't order my DVDr's online because that has happened to me too. The TDK discs I picked up in person. The DVD+R's were made in Japan as well.
