  1. i have never any problems with back ups until recently i use shrink or dvdx platinum, layer cake, resident evil 2 is the only ones to give me trouble i know its sony's new protection so i've tried them on dvd decrypter and still they wont back-up any ideas?????

    other post says latest dvd decryter will rip it onto hard drive i have it and it wont have i it set up right

    If you searched harder you would also find that the latest version of anydvd will beat this. I know you said you tried the latest DVD Decrypter and it didn't work, but I know it does work on res. evil 2 and many others with this new protection. It only works when ripping in file mode.

    ps: is clonedvd / anydvd a simple solution to all these problems and are they better than shrink

    If you have anydvd, then you can run Shrink or DVD Decrypter to rip the movie. Anydvd will break the CSS and take care of the new protection.

    In DVD Decrypter, select File from the Mode menu. This will copy the DVD structure as it is on the DVD, to a folder on your drive. You don't get an ISO file, but a set of .ifo, .bup and .vob files. Only in this mode will decrypter break the protection.

    One Word,,, latest ( not last month's ) ANYDVD!

    Thenk use DVDShrink
    No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!
