Ok guys, here is my problem: I read most of the guides and I was able to make a few working DVDs; however I'm having hard time with audio portion of the DVD... I'm not copying DVDs, so there is no need to deal with VOBs and stuff... Here is what I want to achieve: I want to be able to convert audio portion of my home movie to Dolby Digital 2.0, and burn my movie on DVD with Sonic DVD Fusion 3.0. I tried several times to do so, but by some reason, my movie sound track .ac3 file is recognized as mono by Sonic Fusion. (I encode my wav file with Sonic Foundry 5.1 Encoder). The resulting .ac3 file played as stereo in PowerDVD, but as soon as I import it into Sonic Fusion, it only plays as mono.
What I'm doing is: capturing DV from my Sony DV camera to Premiere. Edit it, make movie, then output it as 8000 CBR AVI file (usually it's about 13GB in size). Then, I demux it into two elementary files (audio and video) in CinemaCraft SP (.wav and .mpv). From there, I encode the wav file with Sonic Foundry 5.1 Encoder, and then import mpv file and new converted ac3 soundtrack into Sonic Fusion for authoring.
Any ideas why i'm getting mono sound from my ac3 file in Fusion?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
