Hello I am getting ready to buy a new dvd burner drive to replace my Pioneer 105 wich still works excellent and I was wondering what would be the better drive to get as far as quality burns goes and will except most good quality media. I am thinking of either the Nec 3520a or the Pioneer 109 dvd burner drives. The media I always use is Taiyo Uden dvd-r 1-8x shiny silver and Ritek Ridata G04 1-4x speed dvd-r media. I never use dvd+r only dvd-r and that is what is my choice. I am wondering though how does it do with other media like Prodisc dvd-r media and Ritek G05 and also with Taiyo Uden dvd-r media. I have read good reviews with both drives and was wondering are the both about the same as quality goes and making good quality burns? I use Nero burning rom and Ulead dvd movie factory to authour stuff and such. Please any help and opinions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Eric

This has been a very popular question here lately. I'll wait for better hacked firmware to come along before ditching my 108. That and the availability of inexpensive DVD-R9 media.
