  1. i use the default vcd template in tmpgenc plus. do you guys use something else?

    VCD is a bad choice for discussion in this respect:
    IF YOU DEVIATE one iota from the SPEC (or TEMPLATE) with VCD, your disc runs a serious risk of not playing except in newer DVD players or a computer

    If you are talking about DVD spec, there you have differing "TEMPLATES"

  3. i have an avi and i want to have an end product that i can author it with tmpg dvd author. sorry for not being specific earlier.

  4. The standard DVD templates will give the best result, UNLESS the source is poor quality, then the HalfD1 template may be better.
    If the source is REALLY bad, try 1/4D1.
