    There has been a war on DD and DTS. Now is the time to read the ones who has tested it and brought up a conclusion.

    Interesting read. It should be noted that a) the article is now over 4 years old, and based on the first commercially available DTS encoder, not current encoders (may or may not make a difference to the results), and b) the comparison was carried out by Dolby Labs, so it cannot be called unbiased, regardless of findings.

  3. Well I felt it before posting this, but still I posted it because -

    1. Dolby is a standard company and publicly showing a biased result may spoil their reputation, which they have been trying hard to preserve,

    secondly

    2. I feel there may not be much difference in the various versions of the AUDIO encoders of DTS. There may be a tweaking here-and-there, but the base build of the product may remain same.
