  1. Hi

I have a Leadtek Winfast PVR deluxe video capture card and I have been having problems with recording and burning to dvd.

However, on top of this, I have two other concerns about the card which I wonder if somebody might be able to help me with.

Firstly, when I have the pvr open and I right click and choose TV audio, it is displaying as mono. I thought the card was a stereo card. I have a cable coming out of my digibox into the card, so surely it should be stereo.

Secondly, the Winfast wizard, which stays open once you have opened up the pvr, seems to be playing havoc with my system resources. When it has been open for some time, the CPU usage goes up to around 60%. As soon as I close it down, the CPU is almost idle again. This is causing the recording picture to be jumpy, particularly if I schedule a recording for a few hours time (by which time the CPU usuage has increased). Any suggestions?

Thanks so much for your help, in advance.

    Jo

Sounds like a software bug. Have you gotten the latest software updates and drivers?

Audio is recorded by the sound card, not the capture card. So if you have the audio connected to your line-in port on the sound card and the settings correct, it should be stereo. The wizard is only for reording on schedule. It shold only launch the PVR if there is something to record. It can use significant resources when recording.
