hey , i have burned bojack unbound (on DVD) with DVD maestro after everything converted (audio .ac3 ,video...) created a DVD menu and everything else. i have played the DVD with powerDVD player and the movie works well, but when i try to play it with my PS2 it doesn't want to play anymore. the DVD is (DVD-R -) and is burned with nero...on the DVD stands a map (VIDEO_TS) and i have also tried a (DVD image)
but none of them works but my PS2 recognised the DVD as DVD video but when i want to play it a get a black screen and after 10 sec he goes back to the browser ...does someone now what's wrong??? (my PS2 is alright)

PS2 seems very picky when it comes to media. PSTWO seems better, enev if one (of 5-6 tried) of my own (authored with IfoEdit) refuses to play more than 1 second. Been using Memorex and Fuji -R discs.

  4. No mod chips are needed to play burnt media in the newer generation PS2's.

I've had good results with most of the DVD +r media in my ps2 (FujiFilm, Memorex, Verbatim) but have found that if I burn faster then 4x I tend to get some freezing and pixelation on the PS2 that doesn't occur on my APEX set top dvd player.

Try other media and maybe a slower burn speed and see if that helps.

some of the older/original release PS2's won't play burned discs at all
if you got a first wave PS2, you're outta luck
