    I wanted to add mpeg-2 decoder to VFAPI plugins so I copied the decoder file (.ax extension) into TMPGEnc folder. Is this correct? I don't see it in the VFAPI plugins menu. I don't know much about this. I didn't see any plugin for mpeg-2 at TMPGEnc website.

    You want the MPEG2 VFAPI plugin or to use a directshow MPEG2 decoder as a plugin? Because the .ax is dshow and TMPGEnc only works with certain ones.
