  1. Hello,

I downloaded a sound clip from a comedy website. When it finished downloading, it automatically opened up winamp and started playing. The problem is I cant find the actual file on the computer. i have searched for it on all drives; with partial file name and extension with the wildcard (*) method .. and nothing.

    Any ideas?

you could try searching for files modified in the last 1 day

you could try to download it again and when it says its already there you could look at the folder its in

its not a hidden file or folder

was it playing off the website or are you sure you downloaded it

are you using IE or firefox ?

  3. Hey,

Thank you very much for the reply. I got frustrated last night so I went to bed lol

I tried your suggestion about downloading the clip again. When the message came up, the clip name was NOTHING like what it said in the status window of winamp. So I ended up finding it.

Thanks a lot for the help
