Evening everyone :lo:
Two thinks I need help with.
First..
I'm looking for a new replacement ripping tool, for my re-authoring
projects that come from my dvd recorder (plus those from my commercial
dvd's) - I'm still using smartripper.
Let me explain, if i can..
What I'm looking for, is a tool that I can go straight over to, and
pop in a dvd and plug in the time code for a particular dvd disc.
Maybe there is such a feature in Smartripper, but that I have never
seen/known about yet. Anyways.
An example:
Say, I'm watching the dvd movie, "The Matrix". And, I want to have a
look at a Chapter 1, 2 minites and 3 seconds (time code: CH 1, 2:03)
.
I want to pop that disk in my dvd-rom, and rip just that. CH 1, 2:03
from it. But, not having to resortinng to rip the whole chapter, or
chapters. Only the section that I want to rip and evaluate/encode.
Second..
I'd like to rip a disk, but just a frame only. Say I want to compare
a frame from my dvd recorder, and the dvd itselt..
.
How would I do this, if not in Smartriper ??
Thanks for any assistance or suggestions,

To your First question...I have been looking for somthing like that for awhile. Why? when I record a show I will set the chapter marks at commercials,so later on I can skip the commercials. Have not been able to find any software to rip at the chapter marks.
