I have'nt used svcd2dvd for a while, so my question is: I can't add vob files to the assets. Will this be fixed in the final version?

Quite possibly. You can use the VOB2MPG tool for now, if you have vob sets or if you just have a single file which is xxxx.vob, just rename it to xxxx.mpg
(If you use VOB2MPG there is no need for the PTS fix if you are going to process the mpg with SVCD2DVD)SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.
