  1. This doesn't seem that hard and i thought i would be able to do this on my own but i need help. I'm trying to convert a DVD movie to a 700mb Xvid avi file. I've tried using automatic programs like AutoGK and SimpleDivx but for some reason when i select the file size to fit on 1 cd (700mb) it comes out like only 300mb and not looking so great cause it's not using that extra 400mb that i want it to. I'm hoping there's an easy solution to this problem I just don't know.
When i try other more complicated methods like with DVDx it doesn't have a bitrate calculator so i've accidentally made the file too big so it won't fit on a cd.
Could someone help me out or point me to a guide that they know will help me convert a DVD to a 700mb xvid avi?

    Hello,

You can try out dr divx. It's fairly easy to use. Just rip the vobs to the harddrive and point dr divx to them and set your paramaters.

You can find a videobitrate calulator in the tools section if your program doesn't have one.
