    Hi!

A friend of mine has a digital cam, model JVC gr-d33.

Is there a mini-DV adapter, so I can connect the mini-DV tape to the computer? Or do I MUST use the camera itself to do it?

    Thanks in advace!
    Best regards,
    Joelson.

    OK.
Anyway, this camera has only a s-video output. Does anybody know if there is a S-Video-Firewire cable, so I can output it to the computer?
    Best regards,
    Joelson.

You need to use the "Firewire", DV, IEEE-1394 connector and cable. It will be there someplace on the camera. Check the manual for location.

  5. i have the gr-d72 model. the setup is the same. on the left side where the controls are right under the s-video output is a spot for the usb cable and a spot that says DV. you need a cable with a 4-pin i.link connection on one end and a 6-pin ieee 1394 connection on the other. plug the appropriate end into your camera and the other to your computer and use something like windv or avio to capture the avi.
