I have seen this in the special features of the Jurrassic Park movies, and now I am seeing it in my encodes. It is a red glow around what appears to be high contrast areas of the images. It is not viewable on the PC monitor, so I don't know if it's in my source, but it appears on the TV. The burned DVD played on the PC does not show it either. Source is Laserdisc-composite-ATI-uncompressed AVI. This is my usual flow and I have not seen this before. Encoders are PC 2.0 and the Mainconcept bundled with Vegas 5.0. Both 2 pass 9570-6780. It is not on the Laserdisc when viewed on the TV.

    Any thoughts?

Look at me, I'm taking to myself! Seriously, the Shrink Color Space in PC 2.0 filter or the Broadcast Color Filter in Vegas 5.0 fix the problem if anyone else is having this as well. Apparantely I'm capping out of bounds colors and need a clamp.
