  1. I have three MPEG files of which two are 2Gb in size and the other is 250Mb. All three are part of the same video capture.

I am trying (without much luck) to find out how to / which package will let me create a DVD where all three MPEG files will be part of the SAME "title". All the DVD packages that I have (admittedly the cut-down / free OEM versions) insist on making EACH file a SEPERATE title. I want them to form ONE title with which I can then set chapter points where I wish.

I've googled away and can google no more. I'm loathe to purchase another DVD authoring package without knowing for certain that this is something that it can do. Frankly, I'm stunned that I can't find an answer as I would have thought this is quite a basic question.

Any advice/hints would be gratefully received.

  2. you can use Tmpgenc to join the files together,If they are all the same Video Specs,Not sure if you can if they are not.

  3. Thank you but I thought there was a 4gb size limit to the standard MPEG file format?

Besides, it all has to be broken down to 1Gb for each VOB file anyway.

  4. What I'm trying to do is to video capture some rare VHS cassettes in order to preserve the footage. A typical capture is over 4Gb but usually small enough (around 4.2Gb to 4.5gb) that it should fit onto a single DVD-R.

TMPGEnc DVDAuthor will let you put multiple MPEG files on the same track. However, there will be a short pause between the clips unless you follow the advice buried in a previous thread ( https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=258137&highlight= ), which I've extracted for you below,

DVD Author puts a chapter mark where the files come together, if you move the chapter mark one frame either way the pause will be gone.
