When turning the computer off you get all sorts of different sounds dont u.
When turning the one off next to me it makes a sound like a bit of plastic hitting the ground lol i cant expl,ain the noise at all ut ive noticed it on other pcs so it must be ok..
Anyway thru out being in windows i keep hearing that noise..is this normal??

No, not really.
Make sure there are no wires inside your pc that are in contact with, say the case fan. -
moved some wires away hope this makes things better, if not what else could it be?

It may just be the capacitors in the PSU discharging or the cooling fans winding down.

It could be dry bearings on the cooling fans. I had that problem once. I carefully lifted the sticker That covers the shaft/bearing assembling in the centre of the fan, to half way, and put a small drop of very light oil I got from a hobbi shop. Then replaced the sticker. Problem solved. -
It could also be the hard drives powering off. I have one old drive that makes a pretty loud noise when powering off.

My machine makes two small metallic clanking/clicking noises when I turn it off. It is caused by my hard drives parking I think - nothing to worry about.
My PC sounds like an aircraft powering down when I turn it off though...
