    Ok lets see...
I have some AVIs Charmed episodes with their subtitles (lets say for starters 4 episodes) which I want to put them in a DVD with the authoring of a simple menu of still pictures so that I can play the DVD in my standalone DVD player. I have read all the guides in here and I just wanna see if Im on the right track.

Step 1: I turn those AVI files to DVD using WinAvi.
Step 2: I make my own still-pictured menu using DVD Lab Pro
Step 3: I burn all those 4 that I made into a DVD using ??? I'm stuck here.....
have I gotten the two first steps right?
And how do I burn them to a DVD since this is not a standalone movie but a DVD containing 4 episodes???

Thanks in advance guys, hopefully I made some sense

step1: convert to four dvd mpeg files. i think winavi can do that.
step2: author with dvd-lab pro, add all dvd mpegs and make the menu. and then burn it.

Oh Ok I got it I only have one small question
In WinAvi in the output format, which type should I use? DVD, Mpeg1 or Mpeg2? Which is the correct one? (My guess is DVD but you're the expert)

I think I understood my mistake here...
When I first used WInAvi to make my four AVI files into DVD, in the output section of WinAvi I selected DVD and it produced a lot of VOB files. After that I opened DVDLap Pro to be able to author the DVD and make still pictures menu but it didnt work.
I closed the program and started WinAvi again but this time in the output section I chose MPEG2. Now Im in the process of the file being converted. Then (hopefully) I will be able to import the MPEG2s I made to DVD Lab Pro and start authoring...how am I doing so far?

  5. DLP should take the Winavi output, no matter what format it's in.
If you need to do editing, then mpeg-2 is the way to go.
If there is an option to output elementary streams in Winavi, use it. DLP prefers it.
