  1. im trying to connect an ibm laptop (model t23) to a 42 plasma screen(philips).
and i just cant get it working.

my problem is the refresh rate, i need to lower the refresh rate to 50hz
but i dont have the option to do that with the current drivers installed on
the laptop, the lowest i can get right now is 60hz

i even disabled the display adapter in the device manager to get the
    lowest settings for it.

the plasma works fine when i connect other laptops to it and set
the refresh rate on the laptop to 50hz.

    any idea?
maybe a progam that will let me lower the refresh rate to what i need?
    anything you can think of?

    thanks

there was a program I had before that allowed you to customize your settings. I'm not sure what it was or for which card it was for either?

I'm sure it was something like Powerstrip or something

:edit: it is powerstrip and here is a link I just found

  6. i cant remember the model of the plasma right now, but i talked to
the the service guys and they say it will only work with VGA and
    50hz refresh rate.
the vga is not a problem, but the refresh rate is.
i did try it with other laptops and it works fine with 50hz ,
as soon as i make it 60hz it doesnt work.

so the service guys are right about that.

anything ealse you can think of?
