Converting VOB to avi/mpg?

cant seem to convert a VOB file, ripped off dvd by using DVD Decrypter (recent version) to a avi or mpg file that is small. the mpg file i convert it to is 630 mb! and its a 22 min episode, it shoudl be like approx 220mb. i havnt tried avi but i usseally end up with a file about 2x-3x bigger than the avi. can i get soem help please? the converter i use is TMPGEnc 3.0 xpress, idk what im doing wrong to get such large files.

DVD is an Mpeg. You didnt look very hard in the guides about this subject. Try and do a DVD to AVI guide. Crap ton of guides on that subject here.
