I have intalled regmon, from sysinternals.com, and i was disapointed to see that there is not an option to let it run in the backround. Can someone tell me if there is a way i can make it autorun and then minamize to the tool bar, in the way a program like AVG does. TIA

regmon puts a lot of strain on your system, and even makes it liable to crash if you run it for too long. Besides, 30 seconds of capture gives you a thousand lines of calls to seek through.
What do you want to accomplish by doing this ? -
I only have it logging when a program writes to the registry, since this is all I want to know about. It doesn't log every time the registry is accessed.

google "run as a service"

I don't think you will be able to accomplish this in Windows, in linux is very common, but in Windows only TSR programs can run in the background.

Aha....check out THIS page.

I'll mention it again, Regmon can be a strain on a system. If video playback on that machine starts stuttering out of the blue, you can be very sure it's coming from an app recording every call to your registry to a text file.
Otherwise, THIS bit of freeware will minimize any app you want to the system tray.
