Split Tool and DVD Authoring problem

Does anyone know what format(s) does the split tool support ?

In the case at hand the input is a large (8 G) mpg file which I want to author as a set of two DVDs. I have used the split tool but to no avail: the output is always only one DVD folder.

I have tried with mpg inputs encoded with both with ffmpeg and mpeg2enc but with no success. The output is only one folder.

The split tool never outputs a DVD folder. Make sure that to use the split tool, you click "Split" in the filters tab and not "Encode". However, splitting muxed mpg files does not give perfect results. You could try to demux then remux with "Author as DVD" disabled (enter target filesize in the video tab "MB" field).
