  3. i just now made an encode with tmpg and it didnt go very good
first problems with no sound so i converted it to an mp3 and it came out ok in WMP but i tested it in quicktime and it messes up. It wont play the sound in QT and it crashes.

  4. ok, i have concluded that its a problem with the audio of why it wont work by trying a sample encode with no sound.
does anyone know of a fail proof format to convert the audio to after i strip the audio out with virtualdub-mp3 fix? -for some reason, tmpg complains about the direct .wav file from virtual dub saying its "illegal"

  6. Did you rip the wav using "Full Processing" in virtualdub?
Use tmpgenc to encode the .wav to .mp2 then mux with the m2v video, or just use the .wav as the source audio during encode.
Goldwave will let you resample the original to 48khz, and THEN save as .wav
