Just noticed the quality of a program "Surviv0r" (latest one). The whole show was blocky when there was movement on screen.
    The Commercials were fine.

Just wondering if it is the way the program was recorded (I'm in Oz on Pal)
Maybe an NTSC program modified to PAL for the rest of the World.
352 res changed to 720 for rest of the world.
Or is it the Station Channel saving bandwith via the satellite and transmitting?

Or should I mix more softdrink with my scotch.

    I'd say the opposite.

In fact ... might as well just drink the scotch straight up.

That way if your TV program looks shitty ... you won't be able to tell!

Most low badget DVB channels look like shit when you watching them. Few of them are 352 x 288 in Europe! Yeap, that low ... (with ~1000kb/s!!! Less than VCD that's it!).

Just for the info: With msu_deblocking filter, you can filter some blocks out on those cases. I do it all the time (msu_deblocking for DVB transmissions is like rm_PAL for VHS tapes...)
