Haveing freezing problems help

Help, I am using Ulead movie facotry 3.5, to convert VHS tapes to DVD, I go the Videos on to my hard drive but when useing the software I can't get more than one tape (which happens to be small ) on to the track for DVD input. is there anysuggeestion to try I have over a gig of memory and the PC is fine so what's the deal I would appreciate any help

oh BTW what seems to be happening is the PC just freezes sompletely when I try to load another video for editing or just trying to drop it into a differnt track/chapter.

is there any other software that's better then this that some one could suggest who's had these same problems

In what format are the videos? AVI?(what flavor) mpg?
If I was you, I'd look in the Convert section left, for guides on "??? (whatever format the videos are in) to DVD". While I'm at it, I'd also read (some of) the guides under Author.
