Tmpgenc Error

The following error occurs in Tmpgenc (All Versions).

Read error occurred at address 0047af4d of module Tmpgenc exe with 42223455. Anybody any idea what causes this. A friend of mine reckons its the OS SYSTEM i'm using, I upgraded to Win XP about 3 weeks ago. On one of the Win XP Forums it stated that Tmpgenc would'nt work in XP, Although I'm sure I read in this Forum that quite a few members have had no problems running Tmpgenc in XP.

I did'nt realise the question was so hard ?
Where is everyone (gone to Lapland). Surely someone has some idea regarding my question.

Actually, this was covered in another post that I can't seem to find but I believe the answer was - ignore it. The mpg works fine despite the error. I get a similar error in XP and my mpg seems fine also. BTW, why are you double-posting? Have some patience and eventually someone will get to you.

Today morning i posted the same question and yes, the answer is 'ignore'! It works.

I use Windows 98. I don't think the error is 'cos of OS.
