I have been asked to rip a few minutes of video off of a VHS tape. I am not really sure how to do this. I have a dazzle DV bridge, would I use that? What apps should I use? I am a photoshop guy, this video stuff is a mystery to me. I appreciate any tips or directions that anyone can give me on this. I have a 1ghz imac g4 running osx 10.3.8 if that is any info you would need.
Thanks!
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays!

Connect your Dazzle to your Mac and fire up iMovie. Change the little sliding button in the lower left to the camera icon and play a few seconds of your tape to see if it is receiving a signal. Rewind the tape and if all is well, hit the import button and start your vcr. When the clip is done hit the import button again. Switch to the scissors icon on the dliding button and you can edit with iMovie.

just out of curiousity, what if I wanted to rip an entire vhs tape (like a film) is there an easier way to do that other than to use imovie? Thanks for your speedy answer though!
