Hi all!
Right, I have re-authored a DVD as the subs were too small.
Now I have 3 sets of the same subs but different sizes to choose from.
The IFO are correct but an off thing happens.
On the largest subs... suddenly after watching for about 1 hour, they stop appearing!
The other smaller subs do not stop and so I dont understand why the larger ones suddenly stop.
If I flick through the subs an cycle back to the big ones, they show up again... its just this one bit where they disappear and stop until I cycle through to sort of refresh them.
Has any bod got any idea why this happens> It is so so odd and happens on all standalone DVD players.
Hoping for a reply on this guys.
Cheers in advance.

You have not given any hint as to what authoring package you used to re-author the DVD as well as how you generated the subtitles.
On the other hand, I have had a similar experience with srt subtitles fed into DVDLab PRO, when I used the pre-release beta version of last August. This was a bug in DVDLAb and had to do with intra-subtitle gap that was too small for DVDLab to handle - the bug was that DVDLab didn't report and / or correct the gap.The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.
