  1. hi there! im new here so am i not used to videoprograms and all this stuff. my question is: which program is cheap and good and especially for beginners? i have heard of magix video (or called like this).. so are magix products really that good? pro/contras? please let me know ciao

    Video capturing? from what source? DV, VHS, SVHS?
    Video editing?
    Making dvd? vcd? avi/divx/xvid ?

  3. wanna edit my videos i put / brought on the compuer... a video editing program . making dvd maybe too. but i need to get started first. and i have NO clue man... greetz to sweden...............

    If you want to encode and edit I use TMPGEnc (Pegasys-Inc.com) for most files and Virtualdub for .avi files, also DVD2AVI. They are very powerful, bare bones, no frills software which get the job done. If you're looking to add special effects I suppose a more commercial software would do but I don't do that stuff. Look at the guides on the left, they are very comprehensive.

    are those videos a DVD or VCD, what kind or what format are they? we need inputs.
