I've just started using TMPGEnc DVD Author to author some backup DVDs of SVHS tapes (captured into MPEG via my DVD Recorder).
The original source material was widescreen but my SVHS recorder and DVD recorder have recorded it as 4:3 meaning I currently need to fiddle with the TV aspect controls when playing back. I want the authored DVDs to have the material flagged as being 16:9 so it is displayed properly without having to resort to the TV aspect controls.
Can someone tell me where this information on the aspect ratio is held and which tool I can use to change this? I'm hoping it is very simple.
Thanks,
Tony

author as usual but output to a dvd folder. then use ifoedit to change the 16:9 properties, read https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1184307#1184307 . last burn the dvd folder.
or use restream to change the video headers to 16:9, then import in tmpgenc dvd author.
