  2. Vmod can fix this as you already know. Demux the audio to wave. Or convert to wave. Remux using the audio source as the converted wave and video source from the original file. What encoding tools are you using ?

You could try AVISynth and use a series of trim and delayaudio commands to cut the file into sections, adjusting the audio delay in each.

  5. Using VirtualDubMod, open the file. Select "Streams", select "Stream List". Now you will see the list of audio streams encoded into your file. Select "Save WAVE". After some processing the audio will be extracted and stored separately as a wav file.

Now you need an encoding s/w like TMPGEnc or MainConcept which will re-mux/re-join the video & audio components into a mpeg file. If you are not aware of what an encoder s/w is I suggest you read guides on this forum before proceding.

In the video source diaglog box load the original file. In the audio source diaglog box load the newly saved wav file. Select the desired target format - VCD/SVCD/DVD and NTSC/PAL. Press the "Start" / "Convert" button to start the encoding process. Depending upon the size of the file, the time taken to encode will matter.

After the encoding process is over, you will have one single mpeg file hopefully with correct video/audio sync. Good Luck.

  7. Well, what I suggested should have sloved your problem. It has solved for me on many ocassions.

Can you tell me what is the original audio stream type as shown by VirtualDubMod. If it is anything OTHER than wav then demux it first by selecting Demux button AND then convert the demuxed file to wav type.

Then do the remuxing as described earlier.
