I have a Region 1 player and there are Region 2 DVDs coming out months before the R1 ones(The new Sergio Leone DVDs by the way) so I decided I would order those instead and just do a region hack on my DVD player.

I have an RCA RC5223P DVD player and on this site there's no hack for that particular player, but the codes for the other RCA RC players worked fine. I kept changing the number until I got to "LOCALE 7" and my Region 1 DVDs, which didn't play when it was on the other regions(Beside 1), played perfectly fine on this setting, but I don't have any way to tell if the R2 DVDs will work properly because I've been reading how the video quality for some people is terrible when they try to play them on region hacked DVD players. Is there a way I could convert one of my non-regional DVDs to PAL to test it out? And could this setting ruin my R1 DVDs or mess up the DVD player?

One last thing.
Is there a difference between a code that goes 7385652600070007+Info and 7385652500070000+Info? They both say "LOCALE 7" when I enter them and they both play my R1 DVDs.
