Always get an error message

Hi there, bought the software on recomendation of a friend. I think the software itself is great and easy to use but it has not worked once for me. Without fail I get an error message. I've searched the forums as to why this is happening and I can't seem to find the answer. Keep in mind, I'm not computer genius so this is becoming highly frustrating. As of yet I have not been able to burn one single DVD. The problem is that this error message pops up every single time that the program is about to start the encoding menu process. Below is the message that keeps popping up:

OK, so I tried the new version but another problem arose: it goes all the way to 'done: burning DVD folder' but then it doesn't burn (even though I have Nero 6 and everything seems to be configured correctly). then if I try to do it manually by dragging the supposedly completed svcd2dvd_output file into Nero myself, I get an error message when I try to burn: Compliance test failed, required files: video_ts.info not present & video_ts.bup not present.

Anyone have any idea whats going on here? Like I mentioned in my first post, my computer knowledge is rather limited so I'm begining to get frustrated...please help! thanks!!

Did you get the NeroBurner window in the middle of SVCD2DVD? If so were there any messages in there?

What is the contents of the VIDEO_TS folder under the SVCD2DVD_OUTPUT folder?

Hi,
Yes, there was a white window that opened after the d'one:burning DVD folder' but it didn't do anything. its as though it froze...maybe I was out of space on my drive? as for the contents of the folder, I deleted it so I cant say. I will try taking things off my drive and trying again. The whole process always takes about 3 hours so it takes so long to find out if it will work or not. I will repost to let you know what happens this time. Hopefully this can be cleared up. Thanks!

Ok, still not working. Getting very frustrated here...I've had this software for a week now and it hasn't worked at all. Here is the latest error message:

This appears as it the program attempts to encode the menu. Please help me fix this so I can actually use this program. Thanks.

Can you ensure that the menu audio is set correctly in the menu settings? Choose silience of if custom, make sure the file exists.

OK, will try that. Which one should I use, Mpeg silence or AC-3 silence? I'm in Canada if that makes some sort of regional difference. THanks!

My settings are as follows:

Process settings: standard/fullscreen & widescreen TV, convert PAL assets to NTSC, AC-3 audio, chapter frequency every 1mins

Menu: Silence (AC-3 Audio) [this is because I have no audio for this particular menu], NSTC Menu

Burning: NeroBurner, DVD RW DW etc...

What is going on here? Why is this not working? It keeps taking me 4 hours before I can find out that it isn't working so it's getting highly frustrating. Please help!!!
